Solar Electrician

Environment

This job operates in an outdoor environment that requires an individual to withstand fluctuating weather patterns from high heat to extreme cold. Must be able to safely climb ladders, work on sloped roofs and able to work in tight crawl spaces.

Qualifications
• Physical: Working on lifts, ladders, rooftops, and other hard to access areas
• Must have knowledge of current NEC codes
• Knowledge and experience in wiring residential electrical
• Experience with all required hand/power tools associated with the electrical trade
• Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and problem solving skills
• Electrical Experience: 3+ years (Required)
• Solar electrical experience (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
• High School Diploma (Required)

Responsibilities
• Primarily responsible for troubleshooting electrical wiring and components
• Solar equipment including but not limited to inverters, load centers, disconnects, EV chargers, batteries, consumption meters, CTs
• Use voltmeter to confirm AC phasing and DC polarity
• Bend and install conduit, pull & terminate wiring
• Internet communication setup and troubleshooting
• System testing/commissioning
• Main Panel Upgrades, line side taps, utility meter pulls
• Travel is required within Ohio and surrounding states
• The schedule for this position is 7-10hr shifts, Monday-Friday
• Occasional overnights, generally no more than 1 per week
• Ability to read schematics and follow technical installation instructions
• Maintain a clean job site, work truck, and warehouse
• Working under the direction of the Service Manager, Service Senior, and in coordination with all team members
• Interact with clients in a respectful manner
• Continuously learn about new technologies, equipment, and techniques related to the solar energy systems
• Required to wear all safety gear and perform all safety as required by the policies.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
