Software Specialist (m/w/d) at ProVeg International

Role Summary

As a Software Specialist, you will contribute to ensuring that our approximately 250 colleagues worldwide have the best possible software tools available to them and can use them efficiently and securely. As a member of our eight-person IT team, you will work closely with our International IT Specialist. Depending on your level of experience, after thorough training, you will independently handle the following tasks or support us in doing so.

  • **Weekly Hours:** 20-40h
  • **Location:** Berlin office or remotely from anywhere in Germany

Responsibilities

  • Conduct software selection projects to identify optimal software solutions for various use cases by speaking with colleagues and software providers.
  • Maintain an overview of our diverse software landscape.
  • Become an expert in some of our core software solutions (e.g., project management tool) and support colleagues in using them efficiently by developing guides, training materials, and guidelines.
  • Occasionally conduct online workshops for individual teams.
  • Ensure IT security and data protection compliance, collaborating with our internal data protection coordinator.
  • Contribute to various IT-related and cross-departmental projects with software involvement.

Requirements

  • Affinity for software and the ability to quickly learn new software tools.
  • Degree, training, or at least 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Structured and pragmatic work approach.
  • Desire for continuous learning and process improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • Alignment with ProVeg's goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with at least one project management software.
  • Background in software support, training, or documentation.
  • Project management experience.
