An award-winning design firm, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainable Design Advisor to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will lead and manage sustainability efforts across a diverse range of projects, ensuring that each one meets the highest standards in performance, environmental impact, and occupant well-being. Working closely with the Director of Sustainable Design, you will be responsible for implementing and promoting sustainable design practices, contributing to the firm’s vision of creating transformative, high-performance buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Strategy: Partner with local leadership to enhance the quality of the studio’s sustainable design process and foster collaboration within the team. Track and report on trends within multiple service sectors, implementing sustainable design principles and methods.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project teams, ensuring the integration of client goals with sustainable design solutions. Lead discussions on sustainability strategies and deliverables.
• Project Management: Assist in managing project scope, contracts, and cost control. Oversee the preparation of technical content for sustainable design presentations and reports, ensuring the highest level of quality and timely delivery.
• Studio Culture: Cultivate a creative and innovative studio environment, encouraging teamwork and building trust among studio staff. Support a collaborative atmosphere that drives exceptional project outcomes.
• Team Development: Mentor junior sustainable design staff, overseeing their project deliverables and fostering growth in the field of sustainable design.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in sustainability and sustainable design, with previous supervisory and team leadership experience.
• Expertise in sustainable design systems, including LEED, Passive House, WELL, Living Building Challenge, and other green building certifications.
• Knowledge of industry trends, climate-positive planning, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable materials selection, and environmental modeling.
• Experience across various market sectors, including corporate, commercial, healthcare, education, and cultural spaces.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present complex sustainable design concepts to clients and stakeholders.

Additional Skills:
• Proficient in Revit, InDesign, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet management.
• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to self-direct and drive innovative solutions.
• A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Professional registration and Living Future Accreditation or LEED with Specialty Accreditation are preferred.
