We’re seeking a Senior Procurement Engineer for our new Brisbane office, specialising in electrical, civil, and mechanical procurement for solar farms and BESS. The ideal candidate excels in supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and process streamlining. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are key to driving project success in renewable energy.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Implementation of cost-effective procurement strategies for electrical, civil, and mechanical infrastructure in renewable energy projects.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and cost targets.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to align procurement activities with project specifications and timelines.
• Conduct in-depth cost analyses, optimize procurement budgets, and drive efficiency improvements.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, mitigate procurement risks, and uphold best practices in supply chain management.
• Guide junior procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance procurement team.

Qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of procurement experience in construction, electrical, or renewable energy sectors, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Strong expertise in supplier negotiations, RFQs, contract management, and cost analysis.
• Hands-on experience with procurement of electrical components, SCADA systems, and structural materials.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and AutoCAD for procurement management and design review.
