Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Finance Professional for its Humana Pharmacy / Enclara division. The role involves analyzing financial data, forecasting, and providing strategic insights to senior management. Key responsibilities include financial modeling, budgeting, and evaluating economic trends. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, at least 5 years of experience, and strong analytical skills. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates in EST/CST time zones.
DescriptionThe Senior Finance Professional analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. The Senior Finance Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Finance Professional collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information and economic indicators so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions. Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial position. Analyzes revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends and inflation. Analyzes the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization's business objectives. Will involve financial modeling, reporting and budgeting. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without step by step direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.This role supports Enclara Pharmacia, a Humana Pharmacy business.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field5 or more years experience in finance/accountingFP&A experienceAbility to work independently within a team environmentComprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesStrong analytic skills with attention to detailsExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiencesPreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Business Administration or a related fieldPrevious health insurance industry experienceExperience with Humana finance and accounting toolsHyperion knowledge/experienceExperience with SAS or other relational databasesAccess, SQL, and multi-dimensional databasesAdditional Information515 Building, Louisville, Ky, Philadelphia, PA, or WAH Nationwide (strongly prefer EST /CST time zones)Scheduled Weekly Hours40
