Responsibilities:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior Environmental Specialist to join our Ecology group in Morristown, New Jersey. This position provides excellent growth opportunity for candidates to work with a team of diverse professionals on a variety of projects in the public and private sector. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in:





Prepare environmental permits in New Jersey/New York
Opportunity to work on complex environmental projects for public and private clients
Lead wetland field investigations, delineations and functional value assessments.
Lead threatened and endangered floral and faunal habitat assessments and targeted species surveys.
Prepare technical studies and reports.
Prepare wetland and ecological permit applications in accordance with Federal and state requirements with emphasis on New York and New Jersey regulations.
Prepare NEPA and NJ Executive Order 215 EIS, EA and CED documents
Compile scope and fee for projects and or tasks
Assign tasks, communicate task expectations, and track status of assigned tasks
Complete project tasks within deadlines and work within allotted project budgets.
Responsible for QA/QC process.
Assist with mentoring junior environmental staff
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, ecology, botany, wildlife management, natural resources, or related field.
10+ years of relevant experience.
Certified Wildlife Biologist or Professional Wetland Scientist preferred, but not required.
Strong northeastern flora and fauna identification skills.
Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers, New Jersey and New York permitting.
Experience working on NYDOT and NJDOT projects preferable.
Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Experience in managing junior staff, tasks and projects
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment

The pay range for this New York position is $110,000- $130,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
