We are looking for focused and energetic professionals to help the worlds’ most dynamic companies in the tech, biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors tackle some of their most important EHS and sustainability challenges.
We are hiring a Senior Environmental Consultant i n S alt Lake City, UT to help our growing local and global clients address a wide array of environmental challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead Assessor/Lead Verifier: Lead environmental assessments of client operations according to ERM procedures, prepare reports and determine assessment conclusions.
• Provide technical expertise, oversight, and quality control on environmental permitting and compliance projects and related activities in support of ERM clients’ projects and facilities.
• Participate or lead process improvement initiatives and strategies and conduct inspections with regulatory agencies.
• Oversee plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, storm water, NPDES, and wastewater programs.
• Execute task and project management requirements to assist in the implementation of environmental compliance and management system programs and processes. Specific duties may include, equipment evaluation and regulatory assessments, conducting programmatic management of change (MOC) tasks, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) evaluations, and documentation of best practices and lessons learned.
• Conduct regulatory and/or management system audits or assessments.
• Provide expertise in applicable environmental regulations including air and waste and industry applications as a member of a technology team with the support of other ERM subject matter experts.
• Help develop and implement innovative EHS programs and strategies in the areas of environmental strategy, hazard communication/chemical management, occupational health programs, safety management systems, process safety and risk management, industrial hygiene assessments, and technical support.
• Identify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist with collection, review, and analysis of field data to evaluate conditions, present information, and implement effective solutions
• Support our clients desire to improve safety performance and environmental compliance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.
• Assist the world’s most innovative companies develop solutions to complex technical and regulatory issues and concerns.
• Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to exceed their expectations.
• Be an active team member on projects and maintain client’s scope/budget/schedule expectations.
• Ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with our clients and other ERM employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• BS/MS in Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or related science degree. Or equivalency of 8+ years related experience.
• 7+ years relevant experience with exposure to the technology, pharmaceutical/biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors preferred.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• CHMM, PE, QISP, or similar certification/qualification highly desirable but not required.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Environmental, Chemical, Engineering, or a related science or engineering degree highly desirable but not required.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal EHS regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction.
• Good team player, especially during challenging situations.
• Effectively and succinctly, communicate with clients, ERM employees, and vendors.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to conduct work on client work sites under COVID-19 protocols.
