Senior Building Performance Expert (HERS Rater)

Deeper Green Consulting is hiring a Senior Building Performance Expert (HERS Rater) to lead energy efficiency consulting projects across Colorado’s mountain region. In this role, you’ll manage projects, conduct HERS ratings and energy modeling, and work with some of the top builders, developers, and architects in the state.

What You’ll Do
• Lead residential energy consulting projects from start to finish
• Coordinate with clients, field inspectors
• Perform HERS ratings and energy models using Ekotrope & SketchUp
• Ensure compliance with IECC, ENERGY STAR, ZERH, and other programs
• Help improve internal processes and mentor teammates
• Travel to job sites in Frisco and surrounding areas (~25%)

Preferred Certifications (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
• RESNET HERS Rater Certification (required)
• RESNET HERS Modeler Certification (optional alternative to Rater)
• ENERGY STAR v3.2 (desirable)
• DOE Zero Energy Ready Home (ZERH) Verifier (desirable)
• National Green Building Standard (NGBS) Verifier (desireable)
• IECC/IRC Energy Code Familiarity or ICC Certification (desirable)
• BPI Building Analyst or Envelope Professional (bonus)

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sustainability, or related field
• Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainable building practices
