Job Description
HollandGreen is seeking a Senior Architect for their Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire office. The role involves managing the design team, overseeing high-end residential projects, and supporting company directors with strategic decisions. Candidates should have over 5 years of UK experience, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for contemporary design. A full UK driving license is required, and the position is primarily office-based in a barn conversion.
Senior Architect Summary
As a senior architect and senior member of the design team in the Oxfordshire / Buckinghamshire Office, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the design team on a day-to-day basis while still running a limited portfolio of your own high-end residential projects. You will also play a key role in supporting the company directors with commercial decision-making, strategy, and the future planning of the business. This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional individual to take on a challenging and exciting role with excellent future potential.
Responsibilities of this Senior Architect role:
• Designing and delivering high-end residential projects.
• Ensuring the standard of deliverables across the studio remains at the highest level.
• Supporting and motivating the design team on a day-to-day basis.
• Supporting the Directors in the day-to-day operational aspects of the Oxford/Bucks Office.
• Assisting the Directors on commercial decision-making and strategy.
• Ensuring all H&G Clients feel valued and receive an exceptional level of service.
• Workload allocation and capacity planning.
• Continual improvement and development of the team and studio.
• Any other ad-hoc responsibility that may arise.
Senior Architect role Requirements:
• 5 Years plus UK experience.
• An exceptional eye for contemporary residential design.
• Great client-facing skills.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Full Driving Licence.
• Proactive and able to work at a high level of autonomy. You must be able to manage your own time, and the time of others.
This is a rare opportunity for the successful candidate to work as a part of a vibrant team within a growing and exciting company based in an exceptional work environment. The position will be primarily based in our beautiful barn conversion offices on the Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire border (HP18 0DS). A full UK driving licence is essential.
