Seeking Trustees to expand our Board. - Volunteer

Young Climate Warriors is seeking three volunteer Trustees to join their Board in Rotherfield Greys, UK. Candidates should have expertise in Strategy, Accounting/Finance (Treasurer), or Communications. Trustees will help advance the charity's mission to educate children aged 7-14 about climate change. The role is hands-on, requiring active support and engagement. Applications are encouraged from diverse backgrounds, particularly younger individuals and ethnic minorities.

As a Trustee your time and energy could help us achieve our charity's vision. We're looking for a team player who will actively support delivery, with a live interest in climate change and a 'stubborn optimistic' outlook.
What are we looking for?


We are seeking 3 Trustees. To bring experience and expertise in 1) Strategy with commercial experience, 2) Accounting / financial experience to be our Treasurer, 3) Communications with PR/Marketing/Social media experience.


We welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds.
To better reflect the communities we support, we particularly welcome applications from younger people, ethnic minorities and those outside of south-east England.

What will you be doing?
The vision and ethos of Young Climate Warriors is that all children aged 7 - 14yrs, based in the UK, have the opportunity to increase their awareness and understanding of climate change, and to feel empowered to reflect, discuss and choose their own informed path of action.


We work to achieve this through providing unique support to teachers, educators, and parents to inspire children and young people to engage with climate change. We offer fun, creative resources, and a network of Ambassadors based across the UK.

Ambassador-led Climate Change Assemblies
Climate Change Club in a Box
Weekly Carbon-Busting Sustainable Living Challenges
Duke of Edinburgh Award 3-month Climate Change Skills

To date, we have engaged with over 25,000 children in-person through our assemblies, from Aberdeenshire to Cornwall, and over 600 educators receive our weekly ‘schools pack’.
As a Trustee you will have the opportunity to help shape our young, ambitious, growing charity. Draw on your professional experience to help us grow the reach and depth of our impact. As a small charity all our Trustees are 'hands-on', and we are looking for someone to provide direction and advice to the Board and the day-to-day team.
