Waste Solutions Canada is hiring a Sales Consultant for Sustainability Services in Cobourg, ON. The role involves supporting the Audit Team, acquiring new business, and maintaining client relationships. As we continue our growth trajectory, we are looking for a Sales Consultant, Sustainability Services to join our team. Let’s create something unique and have a little fun while doing it! As part of the Sustainability Division, and reporting to the Manager, Sustainability and Audit Services, the Sales Consultant, Sustainability Services will be responsible for providing support to the Audit Team, both in acquiring new business and maintaining relationships with existing business. This involves responding to requests by clients regarding waste audits and their on-site diversion practices, drafting proposals of work, exploring opportunities for new lines of business, and remaining competitive to industry standards. Responsibilities : Respond to all leads in relation to the sustainability department including but not limited to communications with existing clients, cold calling, internal referrals, customer service inquiries, web leads, and maintenance of annually recurring clients. Develop lists of prospects and potential new clients by conducting market research and networking Negotiates and closes sales by effectively communicating waste audit benefits and processes and quickly following up with a waste audit quotation. Maintain all actions using Waste Solutions’ internal software’s to ensure clear and concise communication and data collection with the rest of the Sustainability Team. Use a CRM tool to record all customer interactions and manage the entire sales process from original lead generation to closing the deal. Conducts post-sale administrative work to ensure waste audit is successful. Price waste audits using proper techniques and costs in collaboration with the Manager, Sustainability and Audit Services Preparation of waste audit proposals to satisfy compliance with advertised RFP’s/RFQ’s Works with the Sales Team to transition audit clients to WSC clients and vice versa. Support with the quoting and sales of additional sustainability services to audit clients. Meet or exceed all departmental KPI’s Requirements : Experience in the waste and recycling auditing industry, or related field Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, peers and external stakeholders Excellent organization, time management and project management skills Self-driven, independent thinker who is highly motivated Strong problem-solving skills Post-secondary education in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, or related field considered an asset Experience and/or knowledge of waste audits considered an asset Previous sales experience considered an asset Why Work at Waste Solutions?
