Job Description

Renewable Solar is hiring a Sales Associate in Hanford, CA, to assist the sales team with customer relations, market research, and project management from contract to operation. The role involves supporting the Operations & Maintenance department, preparing proposals, and collaborating with internal teams. Renewable Solar Inc is a rapidly growing Solar PV Engineering, Procurement, Construction (Solar ECP) company, currently managing a portfolio of over 200 ongoing PV solar projects valued in excess of $200M with a staff of roughly 140 personnel. Renewable Solar is seeking a Sales Associate to support this growing workload. In this role, Sales Associate will oversee full life cycle of a project, from contract to final Permission to Operate (PTO) / Commercial Operation Date (COD)
• Position Overview

The Sales Associate assists the sales team in managing customer relationships, researching market trends, and supporting the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) department. This role is ideal for a motivated individual looking to build a career in solar sales while gaining hands-on experience in customer interactions, sales strategy, and industry research.
• Assist the Sales Manager with daily tasks and administrative duties.
• Provide sales support to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) department and its customers.
• Attend sales and customer meetings as scheduled.
• Conduct market research and track industry trends, compiling reports for the sales.
• Monitor news and updates related to existing customers to identify new opportunities.
• Manage and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Help prepare proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
• Assist in coordinating internal teams to ensure a smooth sales process.
• Earn commission on new sales and a flat rate for supporting existing customer accounts.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, engineering, estimating, project management and construction, to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Manage and report on sales pipeline, forecasting revenue and providing regular updates to senior management.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and share knowledge with colleagues and customers.
• Requirements
• 0-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
• Eagerness to learn about the solar energy industry.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Supervisory Controls
• Sales Associate will report to the Sales Manager. Sales Associate are expected to work 40-45 hours/week, with core hours being Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, and available to support non-standard overtime hours as necessary.
• Evaluation Factors
• Sales Associate will be evaluated based on sales metrics, and their ability to successfully meet sales goals.
• Pay Scale:
• Sales Associate compensation is negotiable, and may be either hourly or salary, with a combination of project-based incentives. Compensation will be at market rates, based on qualifications, currently estimated between $50k-$60k/year + incentives, to include 5% 401k match and employer sponsored health care options.
