Safety/Chemical Technician

GREEN TOKAI CO., LTD. is hiring a Safety/Chemical Technician in Brookville, OH. Responsibilities include dispensing chemicals, tracking inventory, overseeing disposals, supporting audits, and maintaining safety equipment. Candidates need a high school diploma, computer skills, and strong communication abilities. The position is full-time with a pay of $19.25 per hour and includes benefits such as health insurance and paid time off. Work is in-person.
• Dispense chemicals (and other various supportive items) needed for departments to run lines/finish materials
• Track all required chemical dispensing details (amount, location, etc.)
• Oversee chemical container dispensing, re-using, and disposals
• Handle weekly, monthly, and annual inventory of the Chem room
• Support chem room item minimum inventory levels
• Support various waste disposal activities and processes (universal and hazardous)
• Support various types of audits/inspections and perform corrective actions as needed
• Support training and enforcement of safety related items
• Check and maintain inventory of first aid cabinets
• Check and maintain eye wash stations
• Perform monthly checks of fire extinguishers
• Support creation of needed/required documentation
• Other duties assigned by Manager

Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Computer experience including knowledge of MS Office Products and Adobe
• Self-directed with ability to work independently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work well with others/team player
• Ability to handle diverse group of individuals
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to keep information confidential
• Presents self in a professional manner
• Exceptional attendance

Job Type: Full-time
