GRID Alternatives is seeking a SolarCorps Clean Mobility Outreach Fellow in San Diego, CA, for an 11-month paid service term. The role involves engaging underserved communities about clean transportation options, supporting outreach events, and providing consultations. Candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, and an interest in renewable energy. What Is The SolarCorps Fellowship Program…GRID Alternatives’ SolarCorps Fellowship Program is an opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join GRID Alternatives for an 11-month paid service term. In this position, you’ll gain valuable experience in the renewable energy and non-profit industries while making significant contributions to communities most impacted by environmental and economic injustice!The Opportunity… We are seeking a SolarCorps Clean Mobility Outreach Fellow to engage with underserved communities impacted by environmental and economic injustice about the benefits and cost-savings of clean transportation options. The fellow will be trained and supervised by GRID's regional clean mobility outreach managers to support eligible community members through available statewide and regional clean transportation program processes and educate community members about other clean energy programs. Fellows will also gain skills in professional relationship building, facilitation, logistics, and program management that will be transferable within the renewable energy, education, and nonprofit industries.
Outreach Events- support clean mobility outreach events such as virtual and in-person workshops, tabling, canvassing, etc in order to increase awareness of clean mobility
Consultations- provide clean mobility consultations to interested community members to educate about the benefits of clean transportation options, as well as available statewide and regional programs, incentives, and rebates
Application Support- provide navigational and stacking support to those that select a clean transportation option, such that they receive streamlined access to all benefits they are eligible for
Outreach Resource Management- support the development and upkeep of outreach resources such as FAQs, flyers, step-sheets, email templates, call scripts, etc

What You Need To Bring To This Role…
Must be 18 years or older
Excellent communication skills and ability to represent GRID Alternatives positively
Strong organizational and, multi-tasking skills
Strong computer skills
Interest and enthusiasm for renewable energy, e-mobility, community development, and helping families and communities in need.

It would be great if you also had…
Clean, valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese

Hourly wage of $19.61 for 11 months (Mon, Sept 16, 2024 - Thurs August 15, 2025)
