SO1 Air Manoeuvre Sustainability

Serve is seeking a SO1 Air Manoeuvre Sustainability Manager in Essex, UK. The role involves overseeing Air Manoeuvre governance, managing capability projects, and interfacing with various military groups. Responsibilities include leading projects, preparing briefings, and updating deliverables. The position requires frequent travel and a combination of office work and remote work from home (WFH). Candidates should have relevant Army experience and strong communication skills.
Position Role: To manage pan-Defence Air Manoeuvre Governance outputs. To ensure the delivery of Air Manoeuvre capability projects and other interdependent capability projects that benefit 16 AA BCT.

1. Project Manager for Pj HERMES 2.0 (lease conract to deliver foundation level mil para airborne raining, incl aircraft provision), and for interim mil para capability solutions between now and 2030.

2. Army desk-level air manoeuvre lead to interface with, and prepare for, the OF5 AM WG, 2* AM CCB and multiple RAF (AM-facing) WGs.

3. Manage ABC25 AM-tied Options to graduation.

4. Lead the Air-Land Proposition Workstrand 1 (Air Manoeuvre) deliverables for ACGS as the single SQEP POC in Army HQ.

5. Update Army’s AM desk lead, update the quarterly SDSM Deliverables, the (Land) CRAF and (RAF) PARMIS as required.

6. Act as Lead Airborne SQEP within Army HQ answering short-notice PQs; attending short-notice briefs and drafting Briefing Notes.

Domestic Considerations: Staff+ appointment attracting 88 RSDs. Combination of Army HQ; 16AABCT; MOD MB, WFH and visiting AM Stakeholders across Defence. Must be prepared to travel frequently to attend / chair AM Stakeholder level meetings.

Pre Appt/Deployment Trg: Cap & Acq; SOTR/SOTT processes, Staff and Command experience at 16 AA BCT

Air Manoeuvre experience at staff level and Comd (SUC/Unit) level within a 16 AA BCT unit or MAB Gp.

Computer Literacy - Full range of Microsoft 365 Office used.

ACSC(R) / ACSC or loaded onto course 2025

French - UK/Fr Interoperability
