Job Overview
Earth Right is seeking a dedicated and skilled roof-top Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems on residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as the ability to work at heights and follow safety protocols. The Solar Installer will collaborate with other team members to ensure that installations are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
• Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation.
• Perform fixture installations, ensuring all components are securely mounted and functional.
• Work with high voltage systems while adhering to safety regulations and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various installation tasks.
• Operate forklifts safely to transport materials on job sites.
• Collaborate with commercial electricians when necessary for complex installations.
• Conduct quality checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
Skills
• Proficiency in fixture installation techniques, particularly on roofs.
• Strong understanding of schematics and blueprint reading.
• Experience working with high-voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to build and assemble solar energy systems effectively.
• Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in construction and electrical work.
• Forklift operation experience is preferred for material handling on job sites.
• Battery backup experience and installation are preferred but not required.
