About the position

The City and County of Denver is seeking a Residential Electrification Program Manager to support the Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency (CASR). This role focuses on managing innovative programs aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing community resilience. The position involves overseeing federal grant requirements, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with program regulations while fostering a culture of equity and inclusion within the team.

Responsibilities
• Organize, plan, budget, administer, and monitor innovative program models for greenhouse gas reduction and health impacts.

• Manage federal grant requirements and direct contract and sub-award administration.
,
• Prepare documents for submission to federal agencies to receive funds.
,
• Create and maintain federal grant reporting documentation including reports, budgets, and presentations.
,
• Maintain and improve relationships with officials, agencies, community groups, and departments to enhance decision-making and service implementation.
,
• Prepare and deliver training demonstrations and presentations for various stakeholders.
,
• Manage and plan the work of consultants, vendors, and contractors.
,
• Organize, plan, budget, administer, and monitor multiple projects within the program.
,
• Develop and process contracts, including drafting RFPs and evaluating proposals.
,
• Provide program leadership, direction, and long-range planning.
,
• Monitor and review program KPIs and ensure success of program outcomes.
,
• Coordinate across offices and organizations to gather data and maintain databases.
,
• Review existing policies and recommend revisions or additions as necessary.
,
• Identify program strengths and weaknesses, recommend corrective actions, and instruct on compliance methods.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or a related field.

• Three years of full performance professional level experience developing, implementing, and administering programs.
,
• Experience with successful grant processes and reporting.

Nice-to-haves
• Knowledge of heat pumps and home energy efficiency improvements.

• Spanish language skills preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive attitude.
