### What the work looks like

This is an on-site role. Under specific direction from the site manager and supervision of an experienced technician, you will assist with maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines and/or photovoltaic power and energy storage systems. 100% of time is spent working in the renewable asset field with marginal time in an office environment for documentation and administrative duties. Typical schedule is eight (8) hours a day, forty (40) hours a week, with overtime and night shifts as required. Renewable Energy Technician 2 may be asked to participate in a 24-hour "On Call" rotation.

Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend a mandatory four (4) week training and certification course at the start of employment. The training is in Albert Lea, MN; travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided. Technicians learn and apply EDF Core values: safety, teamwork, respect, passion, transparency, good sense, and accountability.

### Day-to-day activities and expectations

Most time (approximately 80%) is in the field assisting with maintaining company property and equipment safely and efficiently. You will support higher-level technicians on routine maintenance, new equipment installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Administrative work (about 15%) includes documenting completed jobs, supply orders, daily work orders, time tracking, and required paperwork. The remaining 5% covers other duties as assigned.

The role requires working on platforms or skids, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and frequent use of hands, arms, legs, and fingers. You will encounter extreme weather conditions, high voltage and stored energy, moving mechanical parts and vibration, and confined spaces. The noise level is usually moderate.

### Qualifications — Renewable Energy Technician 1

- Ability to successfully complete applicable safety and technical training for the entry level technician.

A valid current driver's license and the ability to meet organizational requirements to operate motor vehicles are required. Knowledge of electronics and mechanical components and measurement devices is a plus. Ability to understand, read, write, and speak clearly in English is required.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand, crouch, walk, lift and move regularly up to 35 pounds (frequently up to 50 pounds), operate company field vehicles, climb ladders, stairs and structures to heights more than 91 meters (300 feet), and work at heights and in confined spaces.
