Registered Psychotherapist/Social Worker

Thomas Counselling is seeking a Registered Psychotherapist or Social Worker for a part-time position in Guelph, ON, with potential for full-time. Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Psychotherapist or Social Worker to join us in our small group practice located in Guelph on a part-time basis to begin, with the possibility of full-time contract work as our practice grows. Our ideal candidate would be someone who can work with both individuals and couples, and who is trauma-informed and able to work with a diverse caseload.

Minimum Qualifications and Responsibilities:
• Master degree in either Social Work or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent) and member of CRPO or OCSWSSW in good standing
• Ability to acquire their own personal liability insurance
• Your own clinical supervision, as required by your licensing body
• At least two years postgraduate experience providing psychotherapy to individuals and and/or couples
• Training in Internal Family Systems, and being either IFS-Informed, an IFS Therapist or IFS Certified
• Training and/or certification in another evidence-based modality such as CBT, ACT, EDMR, CFT, EFT or Gottman
• Anti-racist, neurodivergent, trans, queer and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming
• Is compassionate and able to form connection and act collegially with colleagues

Additional Strengths and Responsibilities:
• Flexibility with scheduling online and in-person in Guelph
• Capacity to work some evenings and weekends
• Proficiency in client-centered treatment planning and clear progress notes, while also remaining adaptable to clients’ and their changing needs and goals in therapy.
• Dedication to ongoing growth, both personally and professionally, with a commitment to one's own inner healing
• Interest and/or experience with running groups, ecotherapy and climate-aware therapy, grief therapy

Pay: $90.00-$104.00 per hour
