We're looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Natural Hazards Risk Assessment team. This role combines technical project work with real-world impact - evaluating flood, wind, wildfire, earthquake, extreme temperature, and drought hazards for buildings and communities, and developing the mitigation and adaptation strategies that make them more resilient. Your Impact
Perform structural vulnerability assessments of existing buildings and sites across multiple natural hazard typesDevelop structural mitigation and adaptation solutions for identified vulnerabilitiesDevelop climate-informed structural design criteria for new buildingsCommunicate risk assessment findings clearly and confidently to clientsPrepare structural design solutions for mitigation projectsPerform post-event structural damage assessments and design repairsPrepare high-quality written reports that translate complex technical findings into actionable recommendations You'll Thrive Here If You Have
A B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering and 3+ years of relevant structural engineering experiencePE licenceSolid grounding in structural analysis and building performance under load - seismic, wind, flood, or otherwisePrior natural hazards experience (particularly flood) is a plus, but not required - we value fast learnersStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce and critically review technical reportsConfidence presenting findings to clients and contributing to team talks and technical sessionsA pragmatic, resourceful, ambitious mindset with a hunger to take on new responsibilities Why You'll Love It Here
