Job Description
Renewable BioFuels is hiring a Process Operator in Port Neches, TX. The role involves operating biodiesel production equipment, monitoring production parameters, performing maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 1-3 years of relevant experience, and mechanical aptitude. The position requires physical stamina and may involve rotating shifts. This is a full-time, hourly position with a pay starting at $21.00 per hour.

Position Summary:

The Process Operator assists in the production process of biodiesel fuel, ensuring efficient operation of equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with environmental and quality standards. This role involves monitoring production systems, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues to maintain consistent output.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate biodiesel production equipment, including reactors, pumps, centrifuges, and distillation systems, following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Monitor and control production parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates to ensure optimal performance.
· Perform routine cleaning of equipment to prevent downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
· Record production data, equipment performance, and inventory levels, for reporting and compliance purposes.
· Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems to supervisors or maintenance teams as needed.
· Handle and store raw materials (e.g., vegetable oils, methanol, catalysts) and finished products safely, following hazardous material regulations.
· Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards, including OSHA, EPA, and local guidelines.
· Assist in loading and unloading materials, including feedstock and biodiesel, as needed.
· Collaborate with team members to improve processes and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in process technology, chemical engineering, or a related field preferred.
· 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial process environment; biodiesel or chemical production experience is a plus.
· Familiarity with operating industrial equipment and understanding process control systems.
· Basic knowledge of chemistry and ability to handle hazardous materials safely.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, P&IDs, and SOPs.
· Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
· Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying environmental conditions.
· Valid driver’s license.

Work Environment:
• The role typically involves working in an industrial plant setting with exposure to chemicals, loud noises, and varying temperatures.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, and flame-resistant clothing is required.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
