About the Position
Clark County is seeking a highly qualified Principal Environmental Specialist to join our team in the Environment and Sustainability Department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in implementing the All-in Clark County Sustainability and Climate Action Plan, managing climate and sustainability projects, identifying funding opportunities, and supervising environmental specialists.

As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support to the Climate and Sustainability Program Manager, develop and implement program goals and objectives, and ensure compliance with regulations and laws related to environmental management. You will also oversee environmental programs, review technical documents, and coordinate with stakeholders to achieve project goals.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Business or Public Administration, Environmental Science, Political Science, Planning, or a related field, and two years of full-time professional experience in administrative, budgetary, operational, environmental, and natural resource management. Experience in a public agency setting and project or programmatic supervisory experience are desirable.
