Working with Dr. Luyu Liu , you will focus on cutting-edge projects aimed at improving sustainable transportation networks using advanced computational techniques, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. We seek candidates specializing in the following empirical topics: sustainable transportation (including public transit, biking, shared mobility, and walking), urban resiliency (e.g., urban heat and air pollution exposure), and mobility equity. We also desire candidates with skills in advanced programming, spatial data science, GIS, and GeoAI. Your research will contribute to the development of sustainable, smart, and resilient urban transportation systems.

EcoTran Lab, directed by Dr. Luyu Liu at Auburn University, is dedicated to advancing the field of urban transportation through innovative research and practical solutions. The lab focuses on integrating data science, AI, and GIS with transportation engineering to create sustainable and efficient urban mobility systems. Key responsibilities include: * Conduct original research on public transit performance and travel behaviors. * Develop and maintain large-scale public transit database. * Write and maintain Python and R codebase for transit routing and GIS operation automation. * Generate and write grant proposals with Dr. Liu on various topics. * Work with undergraduate and graduate students.

Minimum Qualifications Applicants should have completed their PhD at the time appointment begins in Transportation, Geography, Data Science, Urban Planning or a related field.
