About the Position: We are seeking a talented PhD candidate to work on a cutting-edge project at the UNSW Climate Change Research Centre. The successful applicant will investigate the dynamics of the Southern Ocean circulation and its role in the climate system.

Project Overview: This research aims to improve our understanding of the processes that drive the Southern Ocean circulation and its impact on the climate system. The candidate will use a combination of theoretical and observational approaches to develop a process-based understanding of eddy mixing and its interactions with topography.

Key Skills and Qualifications: Applicants should have a strong academic track record, including an upper-level Honours Class I or equivalent. They should also have a solid background in physics and/or mathematics, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
