Job Description

Recycle Waste Services is hiring a Night PM Technician in Detroit, MI. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and communicating repair needs. Technicians will work on various equipment types and must lift heavy objects. The position requires mechanical knowledge and offers benefits like paid vacation, health insurance, and a 401K. Recycle Waste Services (RWS) is a local, family-owned company. We are excited to add to our gowing team! We are hiring a PM Technician.

A PM Technician must be able to perform necessary preventative maintenance, according to our preventative maintenance schedule. Must be able to identify additional needed repairs, and communicate the repairs to the shop manager for addition to the schedule of repairs. This individual will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment from yellow iron, to multiple types of trailers, late model diesel semis, and more. There is never a dull moment, and plenty of opportunity to learn, grow, and gain new skills while on the job.

DUTIES
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects to perform daily tasks.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Use basic hand tools and precision instruments, as well as power tools.
• Document and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all findings observed on Repair Orders.
• Work with a high degree of independence.
• Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times.
• Communicate with co-workers, management and support team.
• Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
• Participate and complete all-in company required safety training.
