The State of Oregon is seeking a Natural Resource Specialist in Salem, OR, to develop and implement sustainable strategies for protecting the environment. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management or a related field, with at least two years of experience. As a Natural Resource Specialist, you'll be responsible for helping to develop and implement sustainable strategies to protect and conserve our natural resources. To be successful in this role, you should be knowledgeable about natural resource management and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, or a related field, as well as a minimum of two years of experience working in natural resource management, environmental management, or a related field. A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred. Develop and implement sustainable strategies to protect and conserve natural resources.
Interpret data to identify potential risks and develop solutions.
Develop and review environmental regulations and policies.
Work with stakeholders to build consensus and develop strategies.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental strategies.
Develop educational and outreach materials to ensure proper implementation of natural resource management plans.
Maintain accurate records of all activities related to natural resource management.
Monitor natural resource trends and identify areas of concern.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Assist in the development of budgets and grant applications.
