We have since expanded to the U.S., where we've been growing rapidly and now need more brilliant minds to join us in keeping the oat milk flowing. We are currently seeking a National Account Manager to join our team. This position will focus on managing the Whole Foods account and UNFI distribution. Qualified candidates residing in Austin, TX, are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work with the VP of National Accounts to develop long-term strategies for Whole Foods and execute flawless plans
- Create and implement strategic business plans to drive success at Whole Foods and through UNFI distribution
- Achieve annual sales volume, market share growth, ROI targets, and profitability goals
- Act as the main point of contact with Whole Foods, managing daily business needs and requests
- Network and build strong relationships across Whole Foods' organization
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive customer strategy, service, product development, and shopper marketing
- Provide insights and leadership to Whole Foods on plant-based growth and Oatly's role in their stores
- Create and share fact-based selling stories using syndicated data sources
- Participate in Oatly's annual planning process and present customer plans to the sales leadership team
- Monitor inventory levels at Whole Foods and work with the UNFI team to optimize sales
- Attend customer category reviews, trade shows, sales meetings, and events
- Manage the UNFI relationship, promotion calendar, and communication with the sales team
- Ensure forecasting accuracy and collaborate with the Sales and Demand Planning Team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years in retail sales in the CPG industry
- At least 5 years of experience leading the Whole Foods business
- Extensive experience working with senior and assistant category merchants
- Strong understanding of UNFI's distribution methods
- Proficiency in syndicated data sources and fact-based selling
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a remote work environment
- Strong leadership, team-oriented, and influencing skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis
- Problem-solving skills and creativity in business solutions
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
