Castle Rock Medical Center is looking for a full-time MA (Medical Assistant) to join the team. This is a full-time 40 hour position Monday-Friday with the possible hours falling between the hours of 7:30am and 6:30pm (No nights or weekends).

Summary of Job:

Works in close harmony with physicians, PAs, nurses, and receptionists. Performs selected nursing and clerical duties to assist in the delivery of patient care.

Essential Job Functions:
• Performs selected nursing and clerical duties, as assigned by nurse on duty, including:
• Ushers' patient to proper exam room.
• Takes and records patient history in electronic health record.
• Assesses and records vital signs, weight, and height in electronic health records.
• Prepares patient for exams and procedures as ordered.
• Performs/assists in procedures as ordered by physician/PA/nurse.
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for necessary procedures.
• Maintains adequate stock in exam/treatment rooms.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms between patients.
• Maintains sanitary conditions in department at all times.
• Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment used.
• Maintains accurate, timely and complete documentation of patient files.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Calls back normal lab results to patient.
• Calls in prescriptions to pharmacy as delegated by provider.
• Set up referrals to other agencies.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and has strong knowledge of HIPAA.
• Performs other related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred.
• Acceptable experience in primary care setting or CNA license may be substituted.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of electronic health record systems.
