Job Description
Hays is seeking a Mechanical/Energy Engineer in New Jersey to support design development and technical analysis for energy solutions. We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Mechanical-Energy Engineer who conducts the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products. Your new role
• Support the engineering team in assessing the feasibility of energy efficiency and capital improvement opportunities
• Monitor progress and performance against project plans and act immediately to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
• Recognize technical discrepancies in analytical results, and make appropriate corrections
• Identify, develop, and gather technical resources necessary to complete assignments
• Conduct field work to document existing conditions during the design phase
What you'll need to succeed
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related is required
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• A minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required
• Proficient in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Understands QA/QC procedures
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
• Participation in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
