Job Description
Hays is seeking a Mechanical/Energy Engineer in New Jersey to support design development and technical analysis for energy solutions. Responsibilities include assessing energy efficiency opportunities, monitoring project performance, and conducting field work. We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Mechanical-Energy Engineer who conducts the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products. Join this dynamic engineering team, who are committed to delivering high-value energy solutions.
Your new role
• Support the engineering team in assessing the feasibility of energy efficiency and capital improvement opportunities
• Monitor progress and performance against project plans and act immediately to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
• Recognize technical discrepancies in analytical results, and make appropriate corrections
• Identify, develop, and gather technical resources necessary to complete assignments
• Conduct field work to document existing conditions during the design phase
What you'll need to succeed
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related is required
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• A minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required
• Proficient in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Understands QA/QC procedures
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
• Participation in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
