Manager – Distributed Renewable Energy Practice

Idam Infrastructure Advisory Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Manager for their Distributed Renewable Energy Practice in New Delhi. Experience: 6 - 7 years (2-3 years prior experience of management consultancy would be an added advantage)

Job Profile:
• Will work directly on projects or assignments with clients as team leader or project manager.
• Manage projects/assignments independently with due focus on quality, timelines, profitability, client satisfaction, etc.
• Manage team of analysts and consultants. Motivate, drive, and inspire the team for consistent team delivery and responsibility to disseminate knowledge to junior team members.
• Responding to EOI / RFQ / RFP/ tenders released by respective authorities pertaining to various projects. The business development activities to be done in the field of distributed renewable energy and allied areas, with deeper interlinkage like energy storage, electric vehicles, public charging infrastructure and newer growth areas like hydrogen.
• Undertaking business development activities such as preparing the concept notes, assistance in press releases, articles for trade magazines/foundations and donor agencies.
• Maintaining the high level customer interactions and helping the reporting manager in enquiry generation, marketing strategy development, go-to-market of new solutions, and thought leadership development.
• Analyse critical reviews of existing or proposed policy frameworks and assist in formulating new policies considering the appropriate mechanism and governance structure.
• Undertake regulatory analysis and provide process support related to regulation and orders at the central and state level, filling petitions, comments, preparation of discussion approach and staff papers.
• Undertake demand aggregation activities for various DRE technologies such as rooftop solar. Preparation of an action plan/strategy for executing/deployment of the capacity aggregated.
• Undertake technical and financial feasibility assessment of projects for various renewable energy technologies. Preparation of Detail Project Report as per the requirement of the client or financial institutions.
• Maintaining and developing operational processes to maximize the efficiency of the team and ensuring client value.

Skill Set Required:
• Ability to execute assignments and handle clients independently.
• Ability to think creatively and create out of the box solutions
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the legal and regulatory framework and the technical aspect of renewable energy.
• Ability to lead team of junior consultants. Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create professional and impactful presentations /documents as client deliverables.
• Consulting and Research experience in multiple RE technologies, i.e. wind, small hydro, biomass, solid waste, solar, hydrogen, storage, electrical vehicles would be an added advantage.
• International experience and working on Multi-lateral/bilateral donor agency programs would be an added advantage.
