We're currently looking for an experienced Level 3 Field Technician to join a growing solar team in the Baltimore area.

This is a senior-level field position suited to someone with strong hands-on experience across solar PV systems, electrical troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance and site inspections, who is also comfortable leading and mentoring other technicians.

What you'll be doing

Lead and oversee field technicians across maintenance activities, inspections and projectsPerform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on solar modules, inverters and electrical/BOS componentsLead and execute solar commissioning activitiesCarry out site assessments, technical inspections and customer walkthroughsPerform QA/QC inspections across third-party sites and contracted assetsDiagnose electrical, mechanical and communications issues across PV systemsSupport maintenance of solar PV, BESS and EV charging systemsConduct Job Hazard Analyses, electrical safety assessments and Lockout/Tagout proceduresEnsure work is completed in line with safety regulations and industry standardsProvide technical guidance, training and mentorship to junior techniciansSupport project planning, estimating, labour/material requirements and technical solutionsWork directly with customers, vendors, subcontractors and other stakeholdersWhat we're looking for

Strong hands-on experience with commercial or utility-scale solar PVExcellent knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, grounding and electrical safetyProven ability to troubleshoot and repair solar PV equipmentExperience with commissioning and site assessmentsPrevious experience leading or mentoring field techniciansStrong understanding of preventative and corrective maintenanceComfortable working independently in a field-based environmentStrong communication and customer-facing skillsExperience with Lockout/Tagout and electrical hazard assessmentsHighly desirable
