Aurecon is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer in Perth, WA, to manage and deliver design projects in the Resources sector. Responsibilities include project management, client relationship development, and team leadership. In this position you will join our Resources team, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘Bring Ideas to Life’ for our clients in the Resource industry.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

What will you do?
• Management and delivery of design projects including scope definition, financial management, project scheduling, quality and risk management
• Lead multiple concurrent projects across the entire life cycle, including study phase, design, tender and construction phase support
• Active role in winning new work, along with the development and maintenance of positive client relationships and ongoing business development
• Responsible for leadership and development of junior team members
• Be part of a supportive team that works together to meet our client’s goals

What can you bring to the team?
• A relevant tertiary qualification in the Civil / Structural Engineering
• Chartered engineer
• Extensive experience within the WA resources sector, preferably in iron ore
• Experience working at an engineering consultancy is preferred
• Strong technical capability and report writing skills
