Job Description

Energy Select is seeking a Lead Installer in Cumberland, MD, to oversee the installation of solar photovoltaic systems and LED lighting. Responsibilities include leading installation teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards, troubleshooting issues, and conducting quality inspections. Candidates should have experience in solar power systems or electrical work. This full-time position offers a salary of $18-$30 per hour and includes benefits such as health and dental insurance.
About Us: Energy Select is a leading renewable energy company in Southern Maryland dedicated to providing sustainable solar solutions to residential and commercial customers. We have been installing solar for the past 8 years as well as performing electrical work such as performing LED retrofits, for the past 20 years. We recently have opened an office in Western Maryland and are looking for qualified individuals to deliver the same level of quality and service we deliver in Southern MD.

Position Overview: We are currently recruiting driven individuals to join our solar and lighting installation teams including electricians, electrical helpers, experienced solar panel installers, and technicians. Candidates with a background in electrical and strong electrical experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities can include:

Execute the installation of solar photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial properties from start to finish including installation of panels, tying in to the main service panel, and commissioning the system

Lead a team of LED lighting installers in the efficient and timely installation of LED lighting systems, both indoors and outdoors.

Install and wire LED lighting fixtures, controls, and related equipment, adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices.

Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications in order to pass both county and utility inspections

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the installation process.

Coordinate daily activities to optimize workflow and meet project deadlines.

Ability to work as part of a smaller team and also assisting other crews when needed

Lead or be trained to lead a crew of solar installers, providing guidance and technical expertise.

Conduct thorough quality inspections to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship.

Implement best practices to maximize system efficiency and performance.

Represent the company in a professional and customer-friendly manner.

Experience:

Experience with solar power systems, inverters, and electrical components or equivalent knowledge in an electrical field that could be transferred to solar

Experience in an electrical field that could be transferred to the wiring and installation of new LED lights/fixtures such as running new electrical circuits, junction boxes, and working on electrical systems in residential/commercial buildings

Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for installation.

Electrical license or certification is a plus.

Knowledge or certifications in Enphase PV systems are a plus

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.

Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
