Join Jacobs as a Lead Electrical Engineer and shape the future of Data Centers while advancing your career. As part of our Advanced Facilities – Data Center team, you'll collaborate with our global network of experts to deliver award-winning solutions to our global clients.
As the technical lead, you’ll provide design work, contribute to team technical collaboration, perform quality reviews of design packages, and assist directly with other portions of the design process. Working closely with the broader multi-discipline team in a fast paced, dynamic, collaborative environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents. Your responsibilities will include engineering and design for data center facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications systems in complex industrial facilities. Here's what you'll need
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registered or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with the relevant state authority in the building/construction industry.
• Experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems, building electrical systems, and campus-style power distribution including conveyance. Previous project experience working on data centres, pharmaceuticals and mission critical projects will be highly regarded.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with local codes.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
