Our client, a forward-thinking architectural firm committed to innovation and sustainability, is seeking a highly accomplished Lead Architect for a fully remote position. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to shape the design of environmentally conscious and architecturally significant projects from anywhere, contributing to the firm's reputation originating in Boise, Idaho, US . The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sustainable design principles, advanced BIM technologies, and a proven ability to lead architectural projects from concept through completion. You will be responsible for conceptualizing designs, managing project teams, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and collaborating closely with clients and consultants. This is a remote-first opportunity for a passionate architect dedicated to creating buildings that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally responsible and highly functional.
Responsibilities: Lead the architectural design process for various project types, emphasizing sustainable and energy-efficient solutions. Develop conceptual designs, master plans, and detailed architectural drawings using advanced BIM software. Manage and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Conduct thorough site analyses, feasibility studies, and code compliance reviews. Coordinate architectural efforts with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers, as well as other consultants. Engage directly with clients to understand their vision, present design proposals, and ensure client satisfaction. Oversee the preparation of construction documents and specifications. Administer construction contracts, respond to RFIs, and review submittals during the construction phase. Ensure all designs adhere to sustainability goals, certifications (e.g., LEED), and relevant building codes. Stay current with emerging trends in sustainable architecture, building technologies, and materials. Contribute to the firm's business development efforts and proposal writing. Champion innovation and best practices in architectural design within the firm. Qualifications: Master's degree in Architecture. Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in architectural design and project management. Licensed Architect (RA) or equivalent professional registration. Demonstrated expertise in sustainable design practices and certifications (e.g., LEED Accredited Professional). Advanced proficiency in Revit and other BIM software. Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successfully completed architectural projects, with a focus on sustainable design. Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively in a remote setting. Deep understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and construction methodologies. Strong ability to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively.
