Sustainable Garden Solutions is seeking a Landscaping & Gardening Apprentice in Rochester, UK. This hands-on role involves creating and maintaining gardens while receiving training alongside experienced landscapers and studying Horticulture at Hadlow College. The apprenticeship lasts 2 years with guaranteed minimum hours, focusing on teamwork, communication, and practical landscaping skills. Landscaping & Gardening Apprentice

Based in Cuxton, Rochester, we provide hands on training working alongside experienced landscapers on customer sites across the southeast, along with 1 day per week studying Horticulture or landscape construction operative (level 2) at Hadlow College, Tonbridge.
The Apprenticeship contract lasts 2 years, with a minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week (including studying). Usual start times are 7.30am to around 5.30 pm with some late finishes (up to 6.30pm) occasionally required. College hours are usually 8.30am to 3.30pm.
Overview
Working as part of a team delivering high standard landscaping projects on various customer sites, developing key landscaping skills and experience including:
• Preparing and levelling the ground for planting and construction
• Installing hardscape features including paths, driveways, draining systems, fencing, decking, patios, steps and walls
• Safely operating all machinery including cutting and grinding equipment
• Developing a good knowledge base of plants, gardening techniques, soil conditions, and sustainable gardening practices

• A positive, honest and reliable colleague with good time keeping, a can-do attitude and physical ability to lift and carry loads and to work outside in all weather conditions
