Marstel-Day, LLC is seeking a Land Use Planner for an onsite position in Aiea, HI, to support the Community Planning and Liaison Officer at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Please review the How to Apply section for application instructions.Marstel-Day, LLC, a premier environmental consulting firm, is seeking an onsite Planner in Oahu, HI to support the Community Planning and Liaison Officer (CPLO) at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Hawaii. This office engages with local, regional, state, and national representatives from public, private, and non‑profit sectors to promote partnerships, compatible land use efforts, and other plans supporting long‑term sustainment and military readiness for the MCB Hawaii mission.The Planner will support compatible land use initiatives in areas surrounding the installation that support military readiness and mission sustainment. This may include formulating or reviewing land use or similar plans, communications, outreach, record keeping, monitoring local developments, legislative monitoring, and helping to coordinate internal and external interactions. The Planner will also support engagement and partnership development among military installations, state and local governments, and private conservation organizations to craft conservation and resilience solutions in the regions surrounding the installation. These partnerships will promote compatible land uses, protect and preserve important habitats, and support and enhance regional resilience.Task may include:Provide program support for communication, outreach and engagement planning, community planning, media monitoring, military affairs, range and training areas and aircraft operations, environmental protection, and development of planning tools and studies.Provide research for encroachment factors such as noise, incompatible development, natural factors and climate effects, and airspace operations.Conduct analysis and provide written reports, land use plans, compatibility studies, information papers, and briefs.Develop correspondence and executive assessments for legislative and/or regulatory issues.Develop communication and outreach materials for MCB Hawaii land use planning and/or partnership efforts.Support engagement with key community and conservation partners to identify and execute shared opportunities to advance resilience and compatible land use programs, plans, and projects.Assist with internal staff coordination for engagement with key stakeholdersOccasional local travel (
