Your new role:
While no two weeks will be exactly the same, you will be regularly involved with a range of tasks including:
• Noise and vibration monitoring and field work including the use of highly technical equipment;
• Visiting a wide range of site types which can range from active industrial sites, new roads / transport upgrades, quarries and mines, new and established buildings, licensed venues, entertainment areas and more;
• Analysis of noise and vibration monitoring results and the preparation of a variety of reporting outputs;
• Working closely and communicating effectively with your team, stakeholders and clients;
• Completing noise models and predictions using state of the art software; and
• Preparation of reports and results for a range of purposes and audiences including project approvals, permitting, regulatory compliance, health and safety etc.

What we’re looking for:
• Studying towards or have qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Science;
• Keen to learn and a positive attitude;
• Relevant experience in a technical / environmental role ;
• An interest in environmental noise / vibration;
• Experience in MS products (word/excel etc);
• Excellent report writing and communication skills;
• Current Australian drivers license;
• Based in Newcastle; and
• Willingness to travel and the flexibility to work where and when required (note you’ll be rewarded for any out of hours work).
