Intern - Investment Group (Nature-based Solutions) (Aug - Dec 2026)

GenZero is seeking an intern for its Nature-based Solutions team in Singapore from August to December 2026. The role involves technical research on nature-based solutions, monitoring carbon market trends, evaluating investment opportunities, and preparing analyses. Candidates should be undergraduates in relevant fields with an interest in carbon markets and ESG investing. The internship lasts a minimum of 3 months, with 6 months preferred.

We are seeking to hire an intern to support the Nature-based Solutions team in the evaluation of global investment opportunities. This role offers the unique opportunity to join a fast-growing and dynamic organisation in Singapore.


Role and Responsibilities

Undertake technical research on nature-based solutions (including forestry, agriculture and blue carbon)
Assist in monitoring of carbon market trends and maintenance of internal database
Support the evaluation of nature-based investment opportunities
Perform technical evaluation of carbon crediting potential
Assist in project quality review and ESG analysis
Prepare written analyses, evaluations and presentations for investment opportunities

Experience and Qualifications

Undergraduate in environmental science, sustainability, business, finance or related disciplines
Strong interest or experience in topics relating to carbon markets, nature-based solutions, impact or ESG investing
Analytical problem-solver with attention to details
Ability to thrive in a start-up and fast-paced environment

Minimum availability: 3 months (6 months preferred)
