Job Description

Woodwell Climate Research Center is seeking an Information Systems Analyst to provide technical support for system users. Responsibilities include resolving IT requests, maintaining system performance, and supporting desktop technology. The role requires prior help desk experience, knowledge of Windows and Mac OS, and excellent customer service skills. A Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience are preferred. The position is based in Falmouth, MA.

Summary:

Join Woodwell Climate’s Information & Technology team as an Information Systems (IS) Analyst. In this role, you will provide technical support to system users within our organization. The position provides information system implementation and support, desktop technology, telephony, AV, and various other device support for all staff and students conducting science, research, or business activities within Woodwell. The IS Analyst is primarily responsible for acting as back-up for all center information systems support, resolving IT support requests largely pertaining to but not limited to desktop computing and Help Desk activities.

Responsibilities include but not limited:
• Evaluates user needs, defines technical problems, and determines as an individual or consulting team for solutions
• Performs ongoing activities to maintain and enhance overall system performance
• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware requests/incidents involving several computing platforms including Windows and Mac across a broad range of software applications
• Monitor, assign, troubleshoot, escalate and resolve IS tickets submitted to helpdesk
• Install, update, and configure IS equipment including but not limited to computers, printers, phones and scanners
• Install and upgrade various applications used by Woodwell and it’s employees
• Perform new hire onboarding sessions for on-site and remote employees
• Provide support for onsite Center events after hours
• Work on IS projects as assigned by the Director of Information Systems
• Provide a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all staff, visitors and interns are treated well and efficiently
• All other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Systems

Must Have the Following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Prior hands on help desk and technical support experience
• Assist users in implementing solutions.
• Windows (workstation, server) and Mac OS experience
• Active Directory, DNS, EDR, VMware experience
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure such as servers, switches, access points
• Knowledge of printers, VOIP, Google Workspace
• Outstanding customer server and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical colleagues.

Qualifications:
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

• Ability to kneel, bend, and carry items
• Ability to use phone and computers
• Repetitive movements
• Air, train, vehicle travel to attend meetings/event

Work Environment:

The functions of this role are conducted indoor

Hours of Work:
• This role is paid on a salary basis.
• Typically, full-time employees work 40 hours during a Monday through Friday workweek. However, this is a salaried position. Therefore, the individual is expected to work as required to complete the duties of the position. This may mean weekend hours and/or hours beyond 40 per week.

Classification and Compensation: This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position, the annual salary range starting at $60,000 plus dependent on qualifications/experience. Woodwell offers a generous benefits package and work life balance.

Location: Falmouth, Massachusetts onsite, minimum 4 days/week
