DTE Biomass Energy (DTEBE)develops, owns and operates renewable energy projects throughout the United States. Our company converts biogas generated at landfills and at dairy farms into clean, renewable electricity or renewable natural gas (RNG). Calumet Renewables, LLC contains several renewable natural gas facilities in Manitowoc and Kewaunee Counties in WI. The plants produce RNG by puling dairy digester gas, cleaning the gas by removing H2S, Oxygen, CO2 and water and compress the gas to inject into the pipeline. Maintenance of equipment includes screw and reciprocating compressors, membrane cleaning system, natural gas dryer, flare, thermal oxidizers, chromatographs and flow meters.The pay range for this position is$36.49 - $46.01.

Job SummaryLocation: Newton, WI

This position is responsible for executing maintenance and operating gas processing facilities at eight dairies in which anaerobic digester gas is processed and turned into renewable natural gas that is injected into a natural gas pipeline. These sites take digester gas and strip carbon dioxide and oxygen out of the gas stream, creating a natural gas product for delivery into natural gas pipelines. At sites not directly connected to the interconnect outside of Manitowoc, WI, the processed gas will be trucked in and injected in the pipeline. This is a rapidly growing business line with potential for future promotion following success in this role. This position will report to the Controls Manager.

The employee will be required to operate and maintain a DOT regulated pipeline. Employee will be subject to random drug screening during employment per DOT PHMSA requirements.

Key AccountabilitiesExecutes maintenance on compressors, pipelines, conduct electrical troubleshooting, create operational reports, and safely operating a complex renewable natural gas processing plant while maximizing profitabilityAttention to detail, especially with the correct metering of renewable gas, will be critical to successSafely, ethically, and profitably operate the equipment necessary for the processing and transportation of gas produced from eight dairy manure digesters into pipeline quality gasCalibrates tests, maintains, troubleshoots, and installs all power plant instrumentation, control systems and electrical equipmentPerforms maintenance on motor control centers, motor operated valves, generators, excitation equipment and motorsDesigns and install new equipment and/or system modificationsTroubleshoot and perform maintenance on DC backup power equipment, process controls, programmable logic controls (PLC) and emission monitoring equipmentSchedule, coordinate, and monitor contractors on specific tasks as requiredIdentify safety hazards and recommend solutionsFollow environmental compliance work practices; identify non-compliance problems and assist in implementing solutionsTrain other team members in the areas of instrumentation, control, and electrical systemsPerform housekeeping assignments as directedPerform equipment safety inspections as required and record results as appropriateParticipate in small construction projects.
