About You

We are looking for horticulturists who have:
• A strong background in maintaining gardens and grounds to a high standard
• Experience designing and implementing planting schemes
• A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the wider team
• Preferably, a recognised horticultural qualification and professional experience in private gardens and/or commercial grounds

Responsibilities

As a Horticulturist, your day-to-day duties will include:
• General maintenance, development, and presentation of gardens and grounds
• Lawn care, soft landscaping, and plant bed management
• Planting, mulching, pruning, cultivation, watering, and weed control
• Using and maintaining horticultural equipment, including strimmers, mowers, leaf blowers, hedge cutters, and tree care tools
• Assisting with the transportation of plants, tools, and equipment
• Designing and planning planting schemes
• Supervising and mentoring Trainee Horticulturists
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure excellent service delivery

Candidate Requirements:
• Good knowledge of plants, plant botanical names, horticultural techniques, and pest and diseases
• Minimum of 2 years of professional gardening experience
• Familiarity with garden equipment and machinery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Cooperative and enthusiastic nature
• Confident in client communication and query resolution
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Attention to detail and pride in work
• Maintains a high standard of work
• Creative, innovative, and efficient at work
• Conscientious, organized, with good time management skills
• Eagerness to develop in the role and undertake training
