Job Description

Planteria Group is seeking a Horticultural Technician in San Francisco, CA, to maintain plant displays in client offices. The role requires excellent customer service and horticultural knowledge, with responsibilities including plant care and site reporting. Technicians will work independently across multiple sites and must have access to public transport. The position includes 6-8 weeks of training in the UK. Salary ranges from £38K to £41K annually.

Following our recent success in New York we are now looking for Interior Horticultural Technicians to join us in the San Francisco area!

This role focuses on looking after our plants in client offices in San Francisco. Our technicians provide excellent customer service and are knowledgeable about the maintenance and care of office plants. This is an independent role which involves early starts each day, taking ownership for plant maintenance at several client sites, on a weekly rota. Technicians are part of a team of like-minded plant specialists who meet regularly both online and in person.
• Maintain to a high standard internal plant displays at a number of client sites every day
• Provide excellent customer service, including completing site reports and maintaining accurate data in our company systems
• Work with your line manager and scheduler to ensure all rounds are completed efficiently and accurately
• Work safely and in line with all risk assessments and method statements

Requirements
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good problem solver
• A passion for plants
• Able to navigate the city using the Subway and bus links
• Comfortable working independently but able to share knowledge and information with the wider team
• Able to orient yourself in large office buildings
• Some specialist horticultural knowledge (but full training will be provided)
• Physically able to use watering cans, stepladders, and stools as part of the daily job
• Experience working in a service industry
• Experience working across multiple sites is desirable
• Experience in planting or horticulture is desirable
• Role is based at client sites so you will need to have access to good public transport links
• This role will involve 6-8 weeks training in the UK upon starting. This will include fully funded travel and accommodation. Please only apply if this is something you can accommodate
