You will be working with a local team to help improve homes and lives through innovative weatherization programs and resources.

What You’ll Do
As a Weatherization Energy Auditor & Quality Control Inspector, you will:
• Conduct in-person home energy assessments using advanced equipment, including blower doors, pressure pans, heating system testers, gas appliance testers, and lead paint XRF devices.
• Achieve and maintain Building Performance Institute (BPI) Energy Auditor and Quality Control Inspector certifications within one year of hire.
• Enter and manage detailed project data in the WAP LINK database while ensuring program compliance.
• Communicate with program participants, performing outreach via phone and in person to schedule and conduct energy assessments.
• Follow line-item budget constraints and adhere to program policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on weatherization program changes, materials, and best practices, implementing updates effectively.
• Travel to homes, training sessions, and meetings as needed (in-state and out-of-state).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Weatherization Program Coordinator.

What We’re Looking For
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience in construction or HVAC is preferred.
• Certifications: Willingness to complete and maintain required BPI certifications.
• Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency, including learning new databases and tools.
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Work Style: Ability to work independently, adapt to changes, and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Driver’s License: Valid Indiana driver’s license with a good driving record.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, climb, and crawl during home assessments.
• Regularly lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to operate advanced equipment and standard office tools.
