Head of Vehicle Testing

REGENT is seeking a Head of Vehicle Testing in North Kingstown, RI, to lead the testing of their electric flying machine, the seaglider. The role involves creating and executing a comprehensive test program for prototype evaluation and performance validation. The company is backed by prominent investors and has significant orders in place, aiming to launch the first passenger flights by mid-decade. This is a full-time position.
REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

As Head of Vehicle Testing, you are an experienced leader who can create and execute a test program to evaluate prototype seagliders from on-water operations to full flight. This will include an exhaustive envelope expansion of all operating regimes, validating the vehicle’s design and performance. You will lead the testing organization's evolution from initial full-scale prototype testing to full-rate production vehicle sea trials.
