Job Description

Osborne Richardson is seeking an Interim Head of Facilities Management, Climate & Energy and Capital Projects for a Local Authority in Greater Manchester. The role involves leading and developing Facilities Management services and overseeing capital projects aligned with strategic objectives. Candidates should have relevant experience in a similar role within a UK local authority and possess strong leadership and decision-making skills. The position offers £500 - £600/day and is initially until early May.
Our client is Local Authority in the Greater Manchester area and they require an Interim Head of Facilities Management, Climate & Energy and Capital Projects.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Strategic Property- you will lead, plan, deliver and develop an expert Facilities Management Service. In addition, this role will lead and develop a professional Capital Programme delivery service aligned to the councils Capital Strategy and Strategic Asset Management Plan objectives, including supporting the development and delivery of a five year rolling capital investment programme. To consistently deliver capital projects on time, within budget and to a defined quality standard and customer expectations.

Our client needs someone with experience of working in a similar role for a UK local authority who can hit the ground running an make an impact from day one. You will need to be a confident leader with the ability to operate at a senior managerial level. It is important you are a good decision maker and you can influence others. You will have responsibility for overseeing a wide range of stakeholder relationships and you will need to be able of prioritising and guiding work streams; you will need a good appreciation of operating within a political environment and having to deal with scrutiny from outside sources.

Our client is offering a rate of between £500 - £600/day Umbrella depending on your experience and this role is inside IR35. It is initially running until early May, though there might be potential for an extension beyond this.
