Rieter is seeking a Head Procurement Excellence in Maharashtra, India. The role involves leading the Procurement Excellence Team, enhancing procurement performance, overseeing process improvements, and driving the adoption of advanced technologies. Rieter is the worlds leading supplier of systems for manufacturing yarn from staple fibers in spinning mills. Based in Winterthur (Switzerland), the company develops and manufactures machinery, systems and components used to convert natural and man-made fibers and their blends into yarns in the most cost-efficient manner. Cutting-edge spinning technology from Rieter contributes to sustainability in the textile value chain by minimizing the use of resources. Head Procurement Excellence
Are you a proactive, service-oriented personality with a passion to tackle your tasks In this challenging and very diversified function, you take responsibility for the XXXXX and ensure the following activities.
Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities
Lead the Procurement Excellence Team in supporting agile squad operations across global procurement categories.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance procurement performance and innovation within the agile framework.
Align team objectives with overall procurement and company goals.
Oversee procurement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency in alignment with agile principles.
Drive the adoption and integration of advanced procurement technologies to support squad needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to standardize and streamline procurement practices.
Establish and monitor KPIs that align with squad objectives and measure procurement performance.
Track cost-saving initiatives across procurement categories and work with Squads to maximize the impact.
Provide actionable insights and performance reports to the CPO and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with Global Category Managers / Sourcing Managers / Supplier Relationship Managers to identify and mitigate procurement risks.
Support the agile squads in developing resilient supplier relationships and addressing claims or warranty issues.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Champion sustainable procurement practices across squads to support Scope 3 emission reductions.
Collaborate with the Group Sustainability Officer / Supply Chain EHS Officer to meet environmental targets
Promote a culture of innovation within the procurement function.
Provide agile squads with market insights and strategic data to enhance category strategies.
Lead should-costing and competitor benchmark analysis to continuously improve cost basis.
Oversee R&D specific procurement demand for new development and lead the team which works closely with the R&D team to understand project-specific requirements, suppliers, and timelines.

Education and Experience:
BE / MBA will be added advantage
15-20 Years expertise in procurement processes, data analytics, and performance management.
Experience in driving risk management, sustainability, and cost benchmarking initiatives.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong stakeholder management ability
Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of procurement regulations (e.g., anti-corruption laws, trade compliance, ESG related regulation
Strong understanding of procurement workflows, e-sourcing, and contract management tools.
Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and automation technologies.
Proficiency in procurement software (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or similar).
Strong leadership and ability to foster collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Commitment to innovation, adaptability and continuous improvement.
