Job Description
New Mexico Gas Company is hiring for HR Generalist I/II positions in Albuquerque, NM. The roles involve ensuring compliance with HR policies, supporting team members, and managing HR projects. The HR Generalist I position pays between $63,440.00 to $79,300.00 and the HR Generalist II position pays between $78,640 to $98,300. Placement is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Serves as the HR Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more areas of Human Resources.
• Ensures consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures in alignment with corporate HR direction.
• Researches and responds to team member inquiries and issues.
• Provides general human resources guidance to team members and performance coaches.
• Maintains various team member files; ensures team member paperwork is completed accurately and within appropriate time frames.
• Gathers information, conducts data analysis, provides data and reports to the organization and supports the development of more complex reports and analysis.
• May function as lead on small scale HR projects and function as support on medium to large scale HR projects.
• Supports budget tracking and program administration.
• Processes routine transactions
Level II: Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities
Successful Candidate Must Have
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• HR Generalist I: A high school diploma and 4 years of HR experience and/or experience related to the duties and responsibilites. With a Bachelor's degree, 6 months of HR experience and/or experience related to the duties and responsibilites.
• HR Generalist II: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of HR experience, with progressively more complex assignments.
• Preferences: Previous generalist experience a plus.
Working Conditions
Regular travel throughout the state of NM required.
