Greenhouse Gas Emissions Survey Driver

SYTE Corp is hiring a Greenhouse Gas Emissions Survey Driver in Elgin, IL. The role involves driving advanced leak detection equipment to collect methane emissions data, primarily at night. Responsibilities include planning routes, verifying equipment function, documenting data, and reporting issues. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and preferably some experience in utility operations or data collection. The position is part-time.
SEEKING DRIVERS FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

REPORTING LOCATIONS: Batavia, Dekalb, Aurora, Crystal Lake, Elgin, and Yorkville.

Job Summary:

Drives advanced mobile leak detection equipment through assigned areas to collect methane emissions data that is utilized by field technicians and the company's Distribution Integrity Management group. Identifies and works with the region's leak survey supervisor and analyst on issues that are found in the field.
• Measures methane emissions by operating advanced mobile leak detection equipment predominantly at night
• Accurately enters external data collection parameters to ensure equipment utilizes correct algorithms for calculations
• Verifies proper equipment function and documents data collection drives to assure system safety and reliability
• Plans daily route using maps and existing drive data to ensure effective operation of the Data Collection technology and maximum field-of-view coverage
• Participates in the continuous improvement of data collection technologies and methods
• Observes, notes and reports irregularities of driving routes, data collection equipment, and vehicle, to ensure supervision is aware of any potential problems
• Responds to our internal and external customers' requests, questions, and concerns in a manner that meets customer expectations
• Observes, documents, and communicates gas leaks or malfunctioning of equipment and other hazardous conditions to ensure customer and employee safety and compliance with company policy
• Participates in training and cross training to increase job knowledge and competency
• Identifies equipment issues that need to be addressed

Requirements
• Minimum High School Diploma
• Associate degree or other post-secondary degree/certification in IT preferred
• 0-2 years of utility maintenance operations, data collection, compliance, or quality control experience preferred
• Veterans with experience in technology or logistics are highly encouraged to apply.
• Driver's License in good standing
• Drug Test (Mandatory - must come back with "negative" results)

• MVR Driving Records Checked (Mandatory)
• Minimum Age requirement is 21 years old
• This position requires driving a data collection vehicle at night, 8:00PM to 6:00AM. The schedule is subject to change.***
