Greenhouse Gas Emissions Survey Driver - Night Shift

SYTE Corporation is hiring a Night Shift Greenhouse Gas Emissions Survey Driver in Crystal Lake, IL. The role involves driving a data collection vehicle to gather methane emissions data at night, ensuring equipment functionality, planning routes, and reporting issues. Candidates should have a valid driver's license, pass a background check, and possess a minimum high school diploma. Experience in utility maintenance or data collection is preferred.
This position requires driving a data collection vehicle at night, 8:00PM to 6:00AM. The schedule is subject to change.

SEEKING DRIVERS FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS

REPORTING LOCATIONS: Elgin, Yorkville, Ingleside, and Glenwood.

Job Summary:
• Drives advanced mobile leak detection equipment through assigned areas to collect methane emissions data that is utilized by field technicians and the company’s Distribution Integrity Management group. Identifies and works with the region’s leak survey supervisor and analyst on issues that are found in the field.
• Measures methane emissions by operating advanced mobile leak detection equipment predominantly at night.
• Accurately enters external data collection parameters to ensure equipment utilizes correct algorithms for calculations.
• Verifies proper equipment function and documents data collection drives to assure system safety and reliability.
• Plans daily route using maps and existing drive data to ensure effective operation of the Data Collection technology and maximum field-of-view coverage.
• Participates in the continuous improvement of data collection technologies and methods.
• Observes, notes and reports irregularities of driving routes, data collection equipment, and vehicle, to ensure supervision is aware of any potential problems.
• Responds to our internal and external customers’ requests, questions, and concerns in a manner that meets customer expectations.
• Observes, documents, and communicates gas leaks or malfunctioning of equipment and other hazardous conditions to ensure customer and employee safety and compliance with company policy.
• Participates in training and cross training to increase job knowledge and competency.
• Identifies equipment issues that need to be addressed.

Requirements:
• MVR Driving Records Checked (Mandatory). Minimum High School Diploma.
• DOT Drug Test Mandatory – must come back with “negative” results).
• Background Check required.
• Associate degree or other post-secondary degree/certification in IT preferred.
• 0-2 years of utility maintenance operations, data collection, compliance, or quality control experience preferred.
• Veterans with experience in technology or logistics are highly encouraged to apply.
• Driver’s License in good standing.
• Minimum Age requirement is 21 years old.
